Dawson's Ranch - Colorado Jeep Tours - Horseback Riding

Jeep and Saddle

Start off the morning with our scenic Red Canyon Tour which winds through bright red towering spires and monoliths sculpted by the erosion of the fountain formation, a layer of sedimentary rock made famous by beautiful, well-known areas like Red Rocks Amphitheater, Garden of the Gods, and Morrison, Colorado. Or, take our popular Royal Gorge Loop Tour that explores the beautiful overlooks and steep drop offs into the roaring Arkansas River, followed by a drive over the Royal Gorge Bridge.

After your morning Jeep excursion to either the Red Canyon or the Royal Gorge, you will return to the Colorado Jeep Tours headquarters for a delicious picnic style BBQ lunch at our “Eddy Out Cafe.” Then, after lunch, your Horseback riding adventure will begin! Relax and enjoy a guided horseback ride through beautiful open ranges with Fremont Peak and surrounding mountains as the backdrop. The wranglers will tell you stories and history of Canon City and the surrounding area, and provide information on native plants and animals while you ride.
